CLOSER ist eine emotional aufgeladene Reise von vier Fremden, die sich in verschiedenen Momenten ihrer Beziehung immer wieder begegnen. Es stellt sich die Frage, wie viel wir uns für die Liebe verändern und wie viel die Liebe uns verändert. About the Play:

Dan loves Alice, but Dan also loves Anna. Anna is married to Larry, but Larry has cheated on Anna with Alice. Anna leaves Larry for Dan, but Dan returns to Alice. And Alice leaves Dan because he is obsessed with truth. Larry doesn’t care about the truth. Anna wants the big love. And Alice, Alice wants to be safe.

In 12 scenes CLOSER tells the story of four stranger, who attract and reject themselves over and over and again. As if they were driven by a supernatural force they fall in love, break up and fall in love again. Each time, in each relationship they reveal a small part of their personality, which brings them closer. But the more they show, the more they want to hide. The closer they get, the more distant they become. In the end every word is examined so closely until Dan, Larry, Anna and Alice can't distinguish between truth and lie anymore. Every heartbeat, every tear, and every scar makes them look out for truth and find illusion.
