Mit Laurence Stallings und Scott Stelle, d.a.i. Tübingen. Finishing up the project of the past two quarters, we would like to test the proposition that the best way to understand the present is by looking away from it. In other words, America’s ongoing but increasingly problematic imperial project, with its mountain of debt and massive unemployment, has to be studied from the point of view of its multiple historical foundations, its deep structures, its underlying grammar, as it were. Everybody interested in cultural and political matters is welcome.
