Beschreibung

Vorträge von Prof. Brain Attwood und Prof. Graeme Davison, Monash University, Melbourne. In recent times, world wide much attention has been paid to the role that an apology might play in the politics of reconciliation with native people. In Australia the fate of the 'Stolen Generations', the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who had been forcibly removed from their families and communities, has been intensely debated. The term "genocide" has played a major role here. In a double lecture, both the role of an official apology and the definition of the wrongs and crimes commited as "genocide" will be focused upon.
